Autumn is well on it's way, but love is still very much in the air! Here's some fabulous inspiration with fall colours and cool tones hosted by The Hay and Wood. These fabulous vendors got together to style a shoot set just for the autumn vibe; summer weddings are fabulous, but there's something intimate about the idea of cuddling up by a fire as newlyweds on your wedding night... Someone pass me my mulled wine?
The dress is a Rue De Sine number; completely backless with thick romantic lace - pair it with a shawl or wrap for the open evening air and dance the night away! We love love love the walnuts and eclectic collection of goodies on the grazing table - We chatted to Asha Frost from 'She Creates He Makes' who put the styling together; "I love using things that you can find around the place - there are all sorts of gems hiding in ordinary places if you look...", She continues; "why not try to utilise the friends that you know and see who might have hidden talents for different areas - weddings don't need to be expensive." Asha employs various props to provide levels and texture to the layout, including a singer sewing draw, repurposed to display some baked apple roses! Behind the Altar we can see Asha's handiwork again with a draped paper flag with hand-drawn calligraphy love-notes... We are absolutely loving the look of the white on the craft paper - who knew that a paper altar could look so good?!
Sitting down for dinner, you will notice that the table numbers are marked by real pears, featuring the same white calligraphy of the altar style. The chairs are rentals provided from the Hay and Wood, as is the long table which pays homage to years gone by of a more romantic and eternal era.. Brass table settings are paired tastefully with a matt back table-plate and delicate glassware, and rustic candleholders of varying heights ties the look together for cohesion. Add a long antique-looking rug, and your set for a night you'll remember for the rest of your life.
